Global Citizen Publishing was inspired by the book Brothers of the Grape by Arnold Michael. This book was called: “One of the first true novels because it showed the drama of a fundamentally common humanness being literally hacked by making national and cultural divisions (too important). The world is in dire need of a new global world literature transcending all territories and human divisions” as per former UN Asst. Secretary General board member of University of Peace, Costa Rica, Dr. Robert Muller. The common good of all depends on the good will of each of us. We are ardent fans of creating a global community consciousness and hold the intention of working together for the greater good of all. This collective spirit that works cooperatively for the good of all is evident in Arnold Michael’s writings. Charles and Arnold Michael became instant friends and Charles immediately saw the value of promoting his works and has continued to do for 20 years. Charles Sommer has written three books on Spiritual Psychology and his talented wife Bobbe Sommer, Ph.D. has authored and taught numerous courses in the self-help field internationally. She is well noted for her best selling works in “Setting and Achieving Goals” and Psycho-Cybernetics 2000. Her work in the field of Conflict Resolution and her inspirational Keynote addresses has taken her to many global cities. Her work also shows the need for applied Spiritual Psychology. There is a need to recognize and value diversity and promote that which is essential to the welfare and peace of us; and it starts with us. Her new book on the subject of Spiritual Psychology will be published in 2007. Soon after 9/11 while Moslems were targeted as the “enemy”, Bobbe spoke to an all Moslem audience in Kuala Lumpur. She was graciously received as she spoke from her mind/heart and dispelled the myth that all Moslems are seen as terrorist by majority US citizens. Emmet Fox wisely counsels, “What ever we believe with feeling becomes our destiny,” If we change our belief, we can change our life. All of Global Citizen’s published works including books, tapes, CDs and DVDs encourage, inspire and teach either directly or indirectly, how to create positive change.
